Kunsthall Trondheim are proud to present concert with Jenny Hval in magical context, in collaboration with Safe Booking.

The Norwegian artist and writer Jenny Hval has developed her distinct, intimate soundscape, since the release of her debut album in 2006. With the two last solo albums Innocence is Kinky and Apocalypse, girl, Jenny Hval has gained a big audience and international recognition for her distinctive voice and for her untraditional events, incorporated with elements of poetry, prose, performance and film. The New York Times reviewed Jenny Hval’s works as “taking a scalpel to the subjects of gender politics and sexuality”.

Jenny Hval is back with a new album, Blood Bitch.

The artist herself describes the album as: “Blood Bitch is my most fictional and most personal album so far. It is an examination of blood. The purest and most powerful, but also the most trivial and scariest: menstruation. The white and red toilet roll binds together virgins, whores, mothers, witches, dreamers and lovers. This is also the first album where I resume the contact with the goth- and metal scene where I started many years ago, by using the drone qualities of Norwegian black metal. It is an album of vampires, lunar cycles, cheesy choruses, and the smell of warm leaves and winter.”

Tickets for the concert can be purchased at Kunsthall Trondheim from Thursday, October 20, for 190,-. Our designteam Yokoland has made the the design, and it includes one free entrance to the exhibition.
