This video introduction presents Dea Trier Mørch's exhibition Into the World and LIFT EVERY VOICE – Posters and images from the 5 June 2020 antiracism demonstrations in Norway at Kunsthall Trondheim (26 November 2020–24 January 2021), with information for Norwegian sign language users and English subtitles.
The video introduction offers deeper insight both into the artistic practice of Dea Trier Mørch (1941–2001) and into the exhibition LIFT EVERY VOICE, which showed posters and social documentation from the demonstration “We Can’t Breathe. Justice for George Floyd,” attended by more than 15.000 protesters on 5 June 2020 in Oslo. LIFT EVERY VOICE discusses the protest posters as examples of free speech and narratives of experience.
