Short about ReMida and Yokoland:
ReMida is inspired by Reggio Emilia, and they are financed by Trondheim municipality. It is a playful cultural- and environmental centre that seeks to promote how children relates to images, critical thinking and environmental philosophy. ReMida often works with how waste materials can be resources. Instead of prioritizing production they focus on a playful and unpretentious approach to the aesthetic.
Yokoland has designed our new, graphic identity, and are acknowledged as one of the most progressive and leading design practices in Scandinavia. They are probably the only designstudio that has their own flag and national anthem. Kunsthall Trondheim’s signal colors, yellow and red, are playful references to the patterns found on fire trucks, and also to the Flag of Trondheim, one of the city’s official symbols. Yokoland has written and illustrated several children’s books.
