Bjørn Hatterud in conversation with Carl Martin Faurby
Bjørn Hatterud (b. 1977) is a writer, critic, musician and curator, and has worked extensively with what is considered normal and its deviations. Based on own experiences, Hatterud wrote the book Mot normalt (Against Normality) about living with disabilities as a gay man from a small town.
Kunsthall Trondheim has invited Bjørn Hatterud to respond to the works in the current exhibition Who Wants to Live Forever?, which deals with issues connected to immortality.
Together, Bjørn Hatterud and program curator Carl Martin Faurby will discuss the works in the exhibition, and based on these, they will take a closer look at the dreams of immortality in the beauty industry, the need for digital immortality in people who do not have children and how human transformation in the form of growing old is replaced by a dream about getting younger.
The event is free but requires registration via Hoopla. 20 tickets are available. The conversation will be held in Norwegian.
