Free Familiy acitivites at Kunsthall Trondheim
Saturday 13 and Sunday 14 August, we invite all children to join artist led workshops!
This week we have had visits from artists who, in collaboration with Kunsthall Trondheim and Kulturtankten, have worked on various workshops, or activities, which may later become part of the offer for school pupils at the primary school through Den Kulturelle Skolesekken.
The workshops and activities are suitable for school children in year 1–4.
All the activity workshops are free to join, all you need is to show up at the Kunsthall. Note that two different activities will take place at the same time on Saturday, both at 11am and 1pm so let the children decide in advance which activity workshop they would like to join.
Saturday 13 August
11:00 am
Here the children can choose between two different workshops:
Animated film with characters
Join us in creating moving figures with an aluminum skeleton! Which figure, or who you want to make, is entirely up to you. We use colored paper to make clothes for them, and you choose which skin color and hair color the figure should have. The figures will later come alive and get to meet each other when we together film a short animation film using stop-motion technique!
The activity is led by artist Masha Mousaviya
Playground design in green screen
What does your dream playground look like? Here you get to draw exactly the playground you most dream of, and you get to test out the design through green-screen technology!
The activity is led by artist Kristina Stallvik
1:00 p.m.:
Here the children can also choose between two workshops:
Artwork with circles
Create a work of art that tells who you are and what makes you you! Here you get a canvas covered in circles. Each circle describes a theme or question about yourself that you can answer. Here you get to use paint and drawing pencils to create a work of art that is as unique as you. Afterwards, we hang all the pictures together into one large work of art.
The activity is led by artist Bella de Silva Buxbom
Clay figures
In this workshop we make figures out of clay! The clay figure can be someone you know, a superhero or a fantasy character. During the process, there is room to tell about the figure you are making, and perhaps a little about yourself too? Finally, we place all the figures together to create a sculptural installation that shows a diverse community.
The activity is led by artist Carlos A. Correia
Sunday 14 August
At 11.00 and 13.00
on this day, the same activity workshop takes place both at 11 and 13
Make a home!
What does a home look like to you? Here we make small houses out of paper and assemble them into a city! We use cardboard and glue to make houses, and hang them on the wall in a street. The activity is led by poet and writer Marjan Poursharifi
