Thursday 30 March at 7 pm we have the pleasure of inviting you to the opening of two new solo exhibitions: Panteha Abareshi – INVALID PLEASURES and Sissel Blystad – Topografi.
In Sissel Blystad's solo exhibition Topografi [Topography], Blystad's visually strong textile universe is presented. Each of the works in the exhibition is composed using thick woolen yarn glued in elaborate curves on cut-out cardboard, or on woolen blankets. In Topografi, you are invited to a suggestive, enticing and captivating encounter with the contours and the landscape found in each work.
In the exhibition INVALID PLEASURES Panteha Abareshi explores sexuality and sensuality in the context of disability, and how the disabled body, and mind, are regarded, including as fetish objects. The exhibition, which is Abareshi’s first solo exhibition in Norway and outside USA, shows new works made created specifically for this occasion, including performance-based video works and sculptural pieces.
