From Monday 28 June to Thursday 1 July Kunsthall Trondheim invites kids and youths to join a free dance workshops!
These workshops are for kids and youth who enjoy and are curious about rhythms, beats, sounds and movement, and who would like to develop their creative dance skills, making a dance piece of their own. We will take inspiration from the encounter with the Sverre Bjertnæs' exhibition Distance and make a movement of our own.
The participants will receive workshops in jazz, modern and freestyle and will learn a choreography that they can show at Kunsthall Trondheim at the end of the week. During the workshop, the participants will use their creative skills and explore different styles of music and get to use their own imagination in meeting dance, movement in an inspiring environment for dance.
The workshops are divided into two age groups: one group for children 8 - 11 years and one group for older children between 12 - 15 years. We welcome various dance enthusiasts - from those who have little or no experience with dance to those who have a lot of experience. The workshop will take place from Monday June 28th to Thursday July 1st and there will be a showcase on Friday 2 July.
