Join Kunsthall Trondheim, Litteraturhuset i Trondheim and Trøndelag Teater for a conversation about art education at Kunsthall Trondheim on Wednesday 6 December at 7 pm. Free entry. Welcome!
Art can be inaccessible, niche, introverted and incomprehensible. But it can also be immediate, appealing, reflecting, political and challenging. The language of art can be a way of teaching about art, but this language can also be what needs to be taught. How we, as viewers or listeners, can navigate our way through the art landscape is not always obvious. What can be taught through art, and how can art itself be taught?
The panel participants: Lisa Lie (dramatist and author whose work can currently be seen at Trøndelag Teater in the play “Uår” by Terje Vigen), Maja Nilsen (scenographer and costume designer in the same production, with a background in visual arts), and Carl Martin Faurby (curator at Kunsthall Trondheim).
The conversation will be led by Trond Åm, general manager at Litteraturhuset i Trondheim.
