DansiT invites you to Multiplié Dance Festival, which is the festival which stretches and bends our understanding of what dance can be, and for whom. Kunsthall Trondheim is one of the venues and collaborative partners for this year’s Multiplié Dance Festival.
The festival is held for the eighth time, and has become one of Norway’s biggest dance festivals. With its foundation in contemporary dance and a focus on community dance, the festival has a unique profile in the Norwegian context.
In the Multiplié program you will find different expressions and experiences from the more intimate to the grande. You will meet international, national and local dance artists in performances, in the gallery, on movie screens, in outdoor spaces, in schools and through workshops, conversations and lectures.
With «displacement» as this year’s festival theme, Multiplié invites a discussion and an examination of our present through the art of dance.
Multiplié also put the emphasis on the words dance and festivity in the dance festival, so there are also a number of opportunities to shake it loose on the dancefloor yourself!
