We invite you to the opening evening and performance for the exhibition Where Land, Water and People Meet.
The exhibition and performance present the artistic outcomes of three residency periods within the Creative Europe project SHORES, which uses music and art as tools to raise awareness of marine and coastal environmental challenges.
The resident artists are Jasmine Karimkova (NL/AU), Jônatas Manzolli (PT) Carlos A. Correia (NO/PT), and the project has been led by Helena Marinho (PT), Hans Fidom (NL) and Øyvind Brandtsegg (NO). The artists have been circulating through residencies in the three collaborating countries, Norway, Portugal and the Netherlands, investigating and implementing artistic approaches to local ecological challenges.
The Trondheim residency is conducted from August 3–7, and represents the culmination of the process that has been ongoing in the three residency locations. The project as a whole has been active for the last two years, also including community-building workshops, shared capacity building, collaborative creation and joint public presentations. The residencies have been conducted during June - August 2026 starting in Aveiro, PT, continuing in Lauwersoog, NL, and now coming to Trondheim, NO for a final week of exploration and making.
