This editions guest chef KyungHwa Kim, originally from South Korea, now based in Trondheim, believes that some of life's most meaningful conversations begin around the table. Passionate about sharing the rich traditions of Korean cuisine, she regularly hosts Korean cooking classes, creating welcoming spaces where people can discover new flavours, techniques and stories through food.
For this edition of Stories by the Spoonful, KyungHwa will be joined by her mother to prepare a meal inspired by one of Korea's most iconic and beloved foods: kimchi. Together, they will share family recipes, generations of knowledge, and the memories that have shaped their relationship with food.
Warm, generous and full of heart, KyungHwa invites us to experience Korean culture not only through its flavours, but through the stories, traditions and connections that make every shared meal unforgettable.
