Kunsthall Trondheim is opening its doors for the great art experience of autumn, Who Wants To Live Forever?. This international exhibition is the first group exhibition at Kunsthall Trondheim curated by its new director, Stefanie Hessler, with assistant curator, Katrine Elise Pedersen. On Kulturnatt Trondheim (Cultural Night) you’ll experience artworks from all over the world, with many different approaches to the theme of immortality, and you’ll get the chance to immerse yourself into the thought processes behind the art with programme curator and production manager, Carl Martin Faurby. The artist duo Gideonsson/Londré will be there in person to present their work "Tanned head, pickled feet" (2020).
On the night we will also have a screening of the film, ”Worlds of Ursula K. Le Guin” – an award winning documentary by Arwen Curry about the fantasy and science fiction legend, Ursula K. Le Guin (1929-2018). Le Guin was one of the first recognised female science fiction authors, and her back catalogue is filled with amazing stories, such as the masterpiece The Left Hand of Darkness. Le Guin’s popularity and status has enjoyed a significant revival in later years, as her visionary stories about humanity’s exploitation of nature has contributed with important perspectives on today’s discussions about climate.
