Kunsthall Trondheim invites you to our new exhibition by Céline Mathieu - LÅN
October 30, 18:00-20:00
How do the intertwined chains of material supply and human intimacy shape our everyday experiences?
In LÅN (EN: Loan), Céline Mathieu navigates the conflation of material flows, value creation, artistic labor, and emotional attachment, employing a "soft" institutional critique laced with personal narrative.
Loans blur the boundary between a personal/trust relationship and a commercial/transactional relationship—a sticky situation deeply embedded within the artworld. Everything in the art bubble is so often dependent on the relationships between artists, institutions, suppliers, critics, collectors and audiences; all loaning resources, attention, energy and ideas between one another.
