Tour and workshop
Suitable for 4th–10th grade and upper secondary
Relevant subjects: Art & Crafts, Norwegian
Duration: 90 minutes
Group size: max. 24 students
What is the artwork really trying to tell us? In this program, students develop their analytical skills by using various tools to explore a selected artwork in depth. They are introduced to basic concepts of visual analysis such as composition, symbolism, and body language. Together with the educator, students will “decode” the artwork by examining details and discussing the methods the artist uses to communicate. The session includes both individual tasks and group reflection on the experience of the artwork.
