Do you dream of a future as an artist?
Are you 16-19, thinking about a future in art or creative industries and looking for a space to develop? If so, we have just the thing for you! Teen Creators is a new program at Kunsthall Trondheim offering the chance to work on creative projects with guidance from our core team and mediators.
The first edition of Teen Creators is linked to the coming exhibition with American artist Emilie L. Gossiaux, and will run Thursday evenings between October 3 - December 8, 2024. Gossiaux was born with hearing impairment and this prompted her to get into art making. She was then injured in a traffic accident as a student and lost her sight. Her practice focuses on her journey to reclaim her artistic agency, finding new ways to understand material processes supported by her relationship with her ageing support dog London.
Teen Creators has a 250 NOK sign up fee per student for the run of 8 sessions hosted by our art educator with support from the Kunsthall Trondheim core team and professional artists. During the program participants will work on projects inspired by the exhibition whilst also getting a taste of what is involved in preparing and mounting an exhibition. At the end of the run of sessions there will be a chance for the participants to share their work in a pop-up exhibition at the Kunsthall.
