Thursday, March 2, Kunsthall Trondheim invites to programme release for 2017, and opening of two film installations of artist Ingela Johansson (Sweden) and artist Nástio Mosquito (Angola). During the period of March 2 – March 19, Kunsthall Trondheim will show the film installation Andrei’s Maria (2016) by Johansson and the video works 3 Continents (2010) and I am Naked (2005) by Mosquito.

The film installations can be seen between 5pm and 8pm.

Nástio Mosquito is born in Angola in 1981. He has recorded several music albums in the name of Gatuno Eimigrante & Pai De Família. He recently opened a solo show in MOMA, New York and has previously exhibited at the Venice Biennial (2015), Fondazione Prada in Milan, ICA London and the Moscow Biennial for Contemporary Art.
Ingela Johansson is a Stockholm-based artist, whose research-based artistic practice often responds to site-specific issues with an interest in social history and collective memory. Her interdisciplinary approach combines various aesthetic strategies and media to create an engaging body of work. In 2016 Johansson received The Visual Arts Fund’s 2 years working grant, Swedish Arts Grants Committee, and has previously exhibited at Kalmar Konstmuseum, Sweden and Alternativa, Gdańsk, Poland, 2016.

Ingrid Synneva Holtar is a PhD research fellow in Film Studies, Department of Art and Media Studies, NTNU. In her dissertation Cameras and Kitchens: A critical study of the «women’s cinema» in Norway, Holtar wishes to investigate the development of the category «kvinnefilm» in Norway in the 1970s and 1980s, and explore this history in an international context and as part of a discourse on film and feminism. Holtar has a Master of Arts in Film Studies from Columbia University (2015) as a Fulbright Foundation Flagship Fellow (2013).
